AORN 2025 Wrap-Up

After all the build-up, the booth planning, and the endless badge scanning, AORN 2025 is in the books — and wow, what a week it was!
From the moment we touched down in Boston, one thing became clear: everyone faces the same challenges. Whether we were chatting with nurses, sterile processing teams, department heads, or vendor partners, we heard story after story that echoed the same themes.

So, what did we do?

We laughed. We listened. We learned.

And now, it’s time to take action and solve problems.

The Therapy Session We All Needed

The conversations at our booth felt less like sales pitches and more like group therapy — in the best way possible. We created a space for honesty, humor, and healing. People opened up about:

  • Case delays that throw entire schedules off-track
  • Missing or incomplete trays that create bottlenecks and burnout
  • Miscommunication between sterile processing and surgical teams
  • Bioburdens are a real concern that keeps you up at night
  • Operational inefficiencies waste time, energy, and resources
  • And yes, even the occasional “surgeons being late to their own surgeries” discovery moment (we promise we didn’t laugh that hard!)

You weren’t alone in these frustrations, and you’re not alone in solving them.

What We Learned

The AORN theme “Together We Rise” felt more relevant than ever. It reminded us that collaboration isn’t just a buzzword — it’s a survival strategy. And based on what we saw and heard, here are a few of the big takeaways we’re bringing back:

  1. Financial Pressures Are Driving Innovation
As we mentioned in our pre-conference post, hospitals are still dealing with financial instability, and many are being pushed to do more with less. But that pressure also fuels smart decision-making. We saw real interest in AI-enhanced tools, efficient workflows, and certified staffing models to deliver cost-effective improvements without sacrificing patient care.
  2. Sterile Processing Is Finally Getting the Spotlight
It was refreshing to hear so many people talking about sterile processing as a strategic priority. From workflow redesign to vendor partnerships, this area is no longer an afterthought — it’s becoming a key lever for safety and efficiency in the OR.
  3. Booth Design Is Half the Battle
We realize now: our booth had a few kinks. Too many things going on in our booth? Maybe. Coffee bar too popular? Definitely. But all of it led to great insights that foster real connections — not just foot traffic.
  4. Everyone’s Ready to Collaborate. They Just Need a Starting Point.
The best conversations we had were the ones where we didn’t have to convince anyone that change was needed. You already know that. What you need is a roadmap, a partner, and a plan in place that feels doable.
  5. Everyone has ideas and feedback.
You know we can help you. We are asking for you to help us. Are you ready to share your thoughts on the show and our booth? Let us know what your thoughts when you Take Our Survey!

What’s Next: Real Change Starts with People

We walked away from AORN with one big reminder: real change doesn’t come from those willing to accept the status quo. It comes from passionate people who want to make a difference. And if there’s one thing this community doesn’t lack, it’s committed people who want to make things better.

So now it’s time to take what we learned and turn it into a meaningful, measurable change in your hospital or ASC.

This is your moment to:

  • Rethink how processes are done — with a sharper focus on identifying real gaps to unlocking immediate wins.
  • Streamline workflows that work for your team, not just look good on paper.
  • Collaborate with partners who understand sterile processing, surgical workflows, and what it takes to drive improvement from the inside out.
  • Tackle burnout and team dynamics head-on, because operational success means nothing if your people are running on empty.

And no — you don’t have to do it all at once. It starts with a single step. If it’s overwhelming, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Contact us and we’d love to discuss it with you.

We’re here to help you take the first step — and every step after. With smart partnerships and a human-first approach, you can build systems that support your staff, streamline operations, strengthen your bottom line, and most importantly, improve patient outcomes.

Let’s start solving problems that actually matter.

Let’s Keep Rising — Together

To everyone who stopped by our booth: thank you.

To those who shared your stories: we’re listening.

And to those still navigating these challenges quietly: we see you too.

Know this: you don’t have to go it alone.

No one walks into this work as an automatic winner — but we’re not losing either. We’re in the middle of something that truly matters. The need for change is clear, and real progress starts when people come together with the courage to rethink what’s possible.

If we didn’t get a chance to connect at AORN, we’d still love to meet you. Let’s talk about what’s working, what’s not, and how we can help you take that next step — whether it’s fixing broken workflows, supporting your team, or driving long-term efficiency.

Contact us today for some information sharing and insight. We can respond to your questions directly.

If we met at AORN and you’re ready to dive deeper into real conversations about how we move forward together, let’s schedule our next meeting. The journey starts with one single step — and we’re here to take it with you.

Let's schedule a meeting to set up the next steps and start solving problems keeping you up at night.

We believe better outcomes are built together. Let’s keep the conversation going.
